Father Corey Bruns was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Owensboro, Kentucky by Bishop William F. Medley on May 21, 2021. He served as the Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Church in Bowling Green from 2021-2025. He currently serves as the Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Owensboro since June 10, 2025.

Father Bruns studied at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary at Marian University in Indianapolis and Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology.

An avid organist and musician, he is passionate about the intersection of beauty through sacred liturgy and music. In his free time, he can usually be found working in the garden, cooking for groups in the kitchen, or shooting photography.

Father Bruns is a triplet and often says that the best gift God ever gave him after his life and Baptism, was calling him to be a priest. He is passionate about priestly life and inviting young men to consider whether God is calling them to a life of sacrifice and service.
