Begin With Discernment
Start by praying, learning, and paying attention to how God may be inviting you. A vocation grows through time, honesty, and openness.
Talk With a Vocation Director
A conversation helps bring clarity. You can ask questions, share your story, and learn what priestly life and formation really involve.
Get Involved in the Church
Stay close to the sacraments, serve in your parish, and build habits of prayer. A strong spiritual foundation matters more than having “the perfect plan.”
Apply to the Diocese
When the time is right, you’ll submit an application and begin a more formal discernment process with the diocese, including interviews and required materials.
Enter Seminary Formation
Seminary provides spiritual, academic, and pastoral formation. This is where your calling is tested and strengthened as you prepare for ministry.
Ordination and Lifelong Formation
Ordination is the beginning, not the finish line. Priests continue learning, growing, and deepening their spiritual life for the rest of their ministry.
